Furano La Terre
This onsen is located in the La Terre hotel, but it’s also open for visitors not staying at the hotel. It provides good facilities, however the price was a little high for what you get, so the value for money is lower here. We also found that the temperature of the pools was lower than we would have expected and wanted, which made it a less positive experience.
The facilities are quite modern however, with little traditional features. This onsen does have two unique features we have not seen in other locations however. First, a “cave room”, with a large but shallow pool inside what can only be described as a cave. It is a nice place to relax and enjoy the quiet, but again the water temperature was a few degrees too cold. Secondly, it contains a shower type feature which drops a steady stream of water from the ceiling and on to a chair, allowing you to use it to massage your back, neck etc, an absolutely great feature!
